A quintessential gentleman, an astute versatile genius, a remarkable personality of high moral integrity, humility and reputable character, a man of letters and eloquence with proven exceptional brilliance and intelligence, a person supremely gifted with emotional self-control, composure, patience, tolerance, and resilience, He is Hamim Nuhu Muhammad Sanusi the 20th Amir (Emir of Dutse), having ascended the throne sequel to the demise of his loving father late Amir of Dutse (Dr.) Nuhu Muhammad Sanusi of blessed memory, who departed to the eternal beyond on 31st January, 2023.
Born on 26th February 1979, Hamim Nuhu Sanusi belongs to a rare class of Emirs privileged by destiny to had both his father and grandfather served as Emirs, a chance which afforded him the enviable opportunity to be groomed in the very best ideals and virtues of traditional leadership which glorify service to the people above personal fulfillment.
Young Hamim had his secondary level education at Federal Government College Kano, from where in line with the tradition of his family for quest for more education, he was privately sponsored to Australian Monash University, Sunway Campus in Malaysia, where he bagged first and Master’s Degree in 2004 in information technology. As a prerequisite for the award of the Master’s Degree, Hamim did his internship with Mercer Consulting, one of the world leading insurance consulting firms between 2003-2004.
In 2005, he joined Marcus Evans, one of the world leading business information companies as a sales manager and leader of its African Market Research Team.
He returned to Nigeria in 2006 to answer the call to National Service (NYSC), which he did in the National Assembly.
In 2007, he joined Bilyak Consulting, an online training firm on effective marketing and establishing a strong brand presence in Africa, as Head of its Business Development.
In the same year 2007, he was called to the service of his people as Councillor with the Dutse Emirate Council, assigned with the noble tasks of youth guidance and counselling.
Hamim is reputed for service with enthusiasm, diligence, and unbridled devotion, and credibly, he is known for raising the bar in all aspects relating to efficient and effective service delivery in all circumstances.
Little wonder when destiny came calling on the 5th of February, 2023 Hamim stepped into the Emirship well cultured, polished, prepared, and ready for its duties, responsibilities, and challenges.
